Christopher J. Roach, MD, F.A.C.O.G.
Pamela, RN
Dr.
Roach received his undergraduate
degree from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport. He
received his doctor of medicine degree from Louisiana
State University School of Medicine and went on to
rotating internship training at Letterman General
Hospital in San Francisco. This was followed
by residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Fitzsimons
General Hospital in Denver. He then spent
one year at the U.S. Army Hospital in Heidelberg,
Germany followed by 2 ½ years at the U.S.
Army Hospital in Berlin, Germany. After military
service, Dr. Roach practiced in Plano, Texas, a northern
Dallas suburb, for 20 years. He and his
family moved to Durango area in 1996 in order to
enjoy the natural beauty and wonderful lifestyle
available in this area.
Dr. Roach is a board-certified diplomate of the American
Board College of Obstetric’s
and Gynecology. He is licensed in both Colorado and Texas and is a
member of both the Colorado and Texas Medical Societies as well as the American
Medical Association and the American Fertility Society. He served as President of the LaPlata Medical Society.
During his career, he has delivered over 4,000 babies
and performed over 6,000 surgical procedures. He is fully qualified and credentialed in all
areas of Obstetrics and Gynecology including advanced endoscopic surgery and
minimally invasive techniques. He has been re-certified by the American
Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the last 7 consecutive years even though
certification is required only every 5 years.
Dr. Roach has served as Chief, OB/GYN at Columbia-HCA
Medical Center, Plano, Texas; has chaired the Obstetrics
Section of Mercy Medical Center, Durango; and, has
served as host of the Durango Community Access Television
show “LaPlata
Healthtalk”.
Leanne E. Jordan, MD, F.A.C.O.G.
Robin, RN
Dr.
Jordan graduated from Dartmouth
College and continued to earn her medical degree
through a joint program from Dartmouth and Brown
University College of Medicine. She completed
her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the
University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in
Denver. She has practiced in the Air Force
for four years, initially at the Air Force Academy
in Colorado Springs and then at Keesler Medical Center
in Biloxi where she also was involved in the teaching
of residents. Dr. Jordan is board-certified
in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the
American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Jordan’s husband, Harald, is originally from Germany. He
is a petroleum engineer and works in Farmington. Her daughter Emily
and son Kelsey speak both German and English at home. Dr. Jordan spent
many years on a rowing crew and is a former US national champion. She
now enjoys mountain biking and skiing with her family.
Kimberly Priebe, MD, F.A.C.O.G.
Catina, MA
Dr.
Priebe obtained her Bachelors
of Science from Vanderbilt University and completed
her Masters of Science in neuroscience at Georgia
State University. She earned her medical degree
from the Medical College of Georgia followed by residency
in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mountain Area
Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Her
training includes experience in urogynecologic diagnosis
and procedures, high-risk obstetrics, and all aspects
of gynecologic surgery. She specializes in
minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic
hysterectomy She is a fellow of the American College
of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a diplomate of
the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a
member of the LaPlata Medical Society, and the American
Medical Association.
Dr. Priebe and her husband Antonio have a young son. They stay busy with
him and enjoy skiing, biking, and hiking as well. She
has done medical work in Vietnam and looks forward
to further travel and volunteering in third-world
countries.
Richard A. Grossman, MD, MPH, F.A.C.O.G.
Dr.
Grossman is an independent practitioner in affiliation with Four Corners
OB-GYN. Dr. Grossman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania
Medical School. He also holds a master’s degree in Public
Health from Loma Linda University. Previously a family practice
physician, Dr. Grossman completed his OB-GYN residency at the University of
New Mexico. He has been a board certified diplomate in Obstetrics
and Gynecology since 1980.
Dr. Grossman has a special interest in World Population Control and is
the author of the monthly Durango Herald column “The Population Program”. His
special interests include: Family Planning including infertility, Primary care
of women, obstetrics, and aviation medicine. Dr. Grossman performs
flight physicals (2nd and 3rd class) for pilots.
Dr. Grossman speaks medical Spanish and also some
French. He has been
a physician in Durango for almost 30 years. His wife, Gay, was one
of the founders of Durango Early Learning Center. The Grossmans
reside near Bayfield and are active in environment concerns in our area.
Elizabeth Baca, MD, Board Certified American College of OB/GYN
Mitzi, RN
Elizabeth Baca, MD is a board certified specialist
in Obstetrics and Gynecology. A native of New
Mexico, she is a graduate of the University of New
Mexico School of Medicine, and completed her residency
in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Parkland Memorial
Hospital in Dallas, Texas in 1988. Dr. Baca
is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics
and Gynecology. She has provided Obstetrics
and Gynecology care in Farmington since 1991, and
has been providing quality patient care here in Durango
since May of 2003.
Dr. Baca is married to Michael Paine, MD and they
have three children with whom she enjoys skiing,
hiking, and Durango community events.
Betty Lasich, MD, Board Certified American College of OB/GYN
Trish, RN
Betty Lasich, MD is also a board certified specialist
in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She finished
medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit,
completing her residency at Sinai Hospital, also
in Detroit. Dr. Lasich’s love of the
Southwest and Four Corners region took her to Flagstaff,
Arizona where she practiced from 1997-2003.
Dr. Lasich moved to Durango in 2003 with her husband
and son. She enjoys skiing, boating and hiking.
Donna Howard is from Massachusetts where she did her nurse’s training at Massachusetts General Hospital. She worked for 10 years in ICU/CCU before going through the nurse practitioner course in Denver. She has been providing women’s healthcare as a certified nurse practitioner since 1982, primarily with the Four Corners OBGYN practice.
She has raised two sons and enjoys reading, hiking and camping.
